Job Summary
Staff Professional to support a diverse portfolio of environmental, civil, geotechnical, geo-structural, and construction materials testing projects. Responsibilities include advanced field investigations (subsurface explorations, sampling), data analysis, technical report generation, and interpretation of complex engineering specifications. This role emphasizes performance analytics, quality control/assurance, project planning and scheduling, risk management and compliance, cross-functional collaboration with engineers/geologists/scientists/technicians, and contract/vendor management. Business development and client relationship management are also part of the role. Candidates must hold aBachelor's degree in a related field from an ABET-accredited institution, possess an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Geologist-in-Training (GIT) certification with a clear path toward Professional Engineer or ASBOG licensure, and be able to travel regularly to project sites. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship and be able to interview on-site in Columbia, SC.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field from ABET-accredited program
- 1-5 years of progressively responsible professional experience
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Geologist-in-Training (GIT) certification with path toward PE or ASBOG PG licensure
- Ability to travel regularly to local and regional project sites and perform extensive fieldwork
- Ability to work on-site in Columbia, SC
