Job Summary
Senior Staff Product Manager responsible for owning the technical roadmap across one of three surfaces (vCluster, vNode, or vMetal) and partnering with the Head of Product and Engineering leadership. Drive roadmap translation into actionable specs, lead architecture tradeoffs, and perform hands-on validation through alpha/beta builds. Engage directly with platform engineers at AI Cloud operators, regulated enterprises, and large internal teams to inform market positioning and messaging. Lead cross-functional collaboration across engineering, sales, and marketing to ensure shipped features align with customer needs and business goals. Bring 6+ years of product management experience in cloud infrastructure or distributed systems, deep Kubernetes fluency, and a track record of customer-facing Infra work; bonus points for Kubernetes-as-a-Service experience, AI/ML ops infrastructure, bare metal/HPC, and startup-scaling exposure. We are a distributed, remote-first team with a headquarters in SF and a strong open-source/open-standards culture.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years in product management, in cloud infrastructure, platform services, or distributed systems
- experience shipping production-ready products engineers depend on
- Kubernetes fluency: controllers, CRDs, API machinery, admission webhooks
