Job Summary
Define and drive product strategy for Airwallex's lending platform, covering embedded and first-party lending capabilities across origination, underwriting, servicing, and portfolio optimization. Lead high-impact initiatives by identifying market opportunities, translating them into multi-quarter roadmaps, and shaping trade-offs between growth, unit economics, and risk performance. Partner with engineering, credit risk, compliance, and commercial leaders to align on strategy, build scalable product frameworks, and refine execution using data and customer insights. Mentor team members to raise standards of product craft and strategic clarity. Work with external stakeholders including financial institutions and regulators to unlock product capability and scale lending globally.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of overall professional experience
- substantial product management experience in fintech, financial services, lending, or other complex regulated domains
- Strong track record of leading large, ambiguous product areas from strategy through execution and measurable business impact
- Deep experience building, scaling, or significantly evolving lending, credit, or embedded finance products
- Strong commercial and analytical judgment
- experience balancing customer needs, business performance, and risk considerations
- Proven ability to influence senior cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment without relying on formal authority
- Exceptional communication skills
- ability to articulate strategy, priorities, and trade-offs to both executive and working teams
- Ability to thrive in cross-cultural and cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree or higher with strong academic achievement
Desired Qualifications
- Experience across both embedded lending and first-party lending products
- Experience working with credit risk, underwriting models, capital structures, or funding partnerships
- Strong understanding of SME banking, lending regulations, and market structure in one or more global markets
- Experience launching zero-to-one products and then scaling them in high-growth environments
- Background in software engineering, quantitative disciplines, finance, or strategy/consulting
- Experience mentoring PMs or acting as a functional leader across a broader product area
