Job Summary
Define the long-term product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Datavant's Legal & Insurance vertical, translating a fragmented market into coherent workflows for attorneys, insurers, and requesters. Shape the product architecture including data models, integrations, and AI-enabled tools that power medical record retrieval and downstream analysis. Partner with executive leadership to guide investment decisions and align the organization around high-impact work across engineering, data science, and commercial teams. Build scalable products for both enterprise and small/mid-sized segments while establishing metrics to improve retrieval speed, completeness, and operational efficiency. Serve as a product thought leader and mentor to raise the strategic altitude of the team.
Required Qualifications
- 8–12+ years of product management experience
- track record of leading complex, enterprise-grade, data-centric products
- Demonstrated ability to define product strategy in ambiguous spaces and influence company-level direction
- Experience building products that combine workflow, data, integrations, operations, and user experience into scalable systems
- Strong systems thinking
- Experience working with healthcare data, data exchange, retrieval, workflow automation, platform products, or regulated data products
- Strong technical fluency and credibility with engineering, data science, and analytics teams
- Ability to use data, customer insight, and business judgment to make hard prioritization and investment decisions
- Executive-level communication skills
- Collaborative, low-ego leadership style with a track record of building trust across functions and contributing to a high-performing culture
- Comfort designing products in highly regulated, high-stakes environments where accuracy, timeliness, compliance, privacy, and trust all matter
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
