Job Summary
Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for GTPN APIs, from ideation to delivery and ongoing optimization. Develop and champion the strategic vision and roadmap for the platform, balancing long-term innovation with short-term business needs. Engage directly with enterprise customers, developers, and partners to understand their needs, gather feedback, and validate product features. Translate complex use cases into scalable, secure, and intuitive APIs in collaboration with engineering teams. Lead cross-functional teams—including engineering, design, sales, compliance, and data science—to deliver impactful solutions. Use data-driven methods to define and measure success metrics, prioritize requirements, and communicate plans and launches. Represent GTPN in strategic conversations with senior stakeholders and enterprise partners. Mentor and lead other product managers, with the opportunity to grow into a broader leadership role. Stay ahead of industry trends in payments, APIs, and financial technology, and leverage AI/ML where relevant to drive product innovation.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of product management experience
- at least 3 years focused on platform/API products in fintech, payments, or financial infrastructure
- Proven track record of defining, building, and launching successful, scalable API-powered platforms or products
- Deep technical understanding of API design principles, security, and developer experience
- Experience considering both user requirements and commercial strategy to drive meaningful product growth
- Strong ability to manage trade-offs between long-term vision and short-term execution
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey product strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Comfortable working in data-driven, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, global environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Flexibility to work across multiple time zones and with global teams
Desired Qualifications
- Exceptional English and Chinese communication skills
- Experience with global card networks (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) and banking partners
- Familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger, Postman, GitHub, or API client tooling
- Hands-on experience as a developer
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance, KYC/AML, and card network rules
- Experience in hyper-growth startup environments, financial infrastructure, or technology
- Master's degree in a relevant field
- Passion for solving complex problems at the intersection of finance, artificial intelligence, and developer platforms
