Staff Product Manager, Growth
$225,000–$265,000 year
HybridSan Francisco, California, United States
Job Summary
Own Product-Led Growth end to end, from developer acquisition through onboarding, activation, and expansion into production workloads. Grow the population of developers building on LiveKit by optimizing surfaces that determine adoption and closing the gap between signup and real usage. Drive platform depth by making attaching features like agent hosting and inference the natural path for scaling accounts. Stay close to high-traction builders to identify early winners and ensure support aligns with their needs. Make growth measurable by owning operating metrics for platform health and collaborating with the data team to review cadence. Be the voice of the self-serve developer, translating usage data and documentation feedback into roadmap priorities. Work alongside developer support engineers and partner with marketing on upstream signup activities.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years in product management, at a senior or staff level
- ideally owning growth, activation, or retention for a developer-facing or usage-based product
- A real product-led growth background
- You've owned a funnel where the product does the selling: acquisition through onboarding, adoption, and expansion, with experimentation and instrumentation to match
- You've moved a usage number, not just a signup number
- Technical enough to earn a developer's trust
- You know your way around a CLI
- You can have serious technical discussion with customers and engineers
- You don't need to write production code
- Quantitative by instinct
- You're comfortable in the data yourself
- You know the difference between temporary noise and a real trend
- You're honest about what a number can and cannot prove
- Cross-functional influence
- You influence through clarity, trust, and good judgment, not process or hierarchy
- Communication as a superpower
- You write clearly
- You present well
- You can move between a board-level strategy conversation and a detailed technical discussion with an engineering lead
- Comfort with ambiguity
- You'll figure out what matters
- You prioritize ruthlessly
- You move quickly without perfect information
- This role can be based remotely or in our SF HQ
Desired Qualifications
- Growth or PLG ownership at a developer tools, API, or infrastructure company with a bottom-up motion
- Consumer growth background, particularly onboarding, lifecycle, and retention at scale
- Experience with consumption or usage-based businesses, where the relationship is measured in volume rather than seats
- Built onboarding, activation, or first-run experiences for a technical product
- Experience designing a high-touch motion for a small set of high-value accounts inside an otherwise self-serve business
- Familiarity with voice AI, real-time communication, or agent frameworks
- Comfort with SQL and working directly in a warehouse
