Job Summary
Own the strategy and roadmap for Vanta's core AI capabilities, including the agent harness and quality evaluation stack. Live in agent traces to build intuition on customer usage and drive highest-leverage improvements. Build golden datasets, automated evaluators, and self-serve tooling so PMs and designers can run evaluations without engineering support. Scale the agent harness by shaping core capabilities and making tradeoffs across cost, latency, reliability, and safety. Set the quality bar for evals, launch readiness, and observability while driving adoption without becoming a gatekeeper. Partner with EPD teams and the AI pillar to turn proven patterns into shared capabilities. Help define and shape the product team culture as Vanta grows into the intelligence layer for security and compliance work.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of product management experience
- platform, infrastructure, or technically deep products experience
- hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI agents
- understanding of how evals, observability, and quality signals drive systematic improvement in AI products
- strong user empathy
- ability to run foundational products with adoption goals, feedback loops, and prioritization grounded in user needs
- ability to earn credibility with senior engineers
- ability to hold one's own in deeply technical design discussions
- daily use of coding agents
- curiosity about where models and agent tooling are going
- ability to think in systems regarding evaluation, observability, and infrastructure choices
- ability to thrive in ambiguity in a fast-moving AI space
- ability to lead with the problem and the process rather than a fixed answer
- ability to communicate with clarity and influence, both written and verbal, with team members, stakeholders, and executives
- willingness to learn and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact
