Job Summary
Staff Product Designer (Design Systems & Operations) focused on creating, governing, and scaling the design system across the VA-enabled portal ecosystem. Responsible for Source of Truth stewardship of Figma libraries, component adoption guidance, cross-channel audits, accessibility collaboration, and design-operations enablement including documentation, tooling (AI), and training to empower distributed UX teams. Drives design consistency and organizational alignment across health-portal experiences, including health portal landing pages, alerts, and cross-portal patterns; partners with UXR Lead and tool teams to support early-stage discovery and experimentation. Requires senior-level experience with design systems, governance, and tools (Figma, Miro, Adobe), plus a bachelor’s degree and 7+ years in product design or related roles. Remote-friendly role with nationwide scope and VA-partner context.
