Job Summary
Turn complex product, customer, and risk data into clear insights, decision frameworks, and durable measurement systems for product, risk, and business partners. Use AI tools and agent workflows to accelerate exploration, automate repetitive tasks, and stress-test conclusions across the full data science loop. Own end-to-end execution of analysis, metrics definition, experimentation, forecasting, and decision support for credit products like Borrow, Afterpay, and Square Loans. Define measurement frameworks for eligibility, repayment behavior, loss performance, and funnel health while partnering with risk teams to monitor cohorts and identify bias. Design experiments and policy changes that shape customer access and product growth, communicating insights clearly to technical, product, and senior business stakeholders. Lead technical direction for the Data Science team by building consensus, creating reusable frameworks, and mentoring junior data scientists.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in statistics, data science, economics, computer science, or a similar quantitative field
- 12+ years of experience in a relevant role
- A graduate degree in statistics, data science, economics, computer science, or a similar quantitative field
- 6-8+ years of experience in a relevant role
- Advanced proficiency with SQL
- Experience building clear, decision-oriented data visualizations
- Strong product, analytical, and statistical judgment
- Ability to turn ambiguous product, customer, or risk questions into sound analyses
- Ability to communicate tradeoffs clearly
- Ability to support decisions
- Experience using AI tools to improve the speed, quality, and durability of analytical work
