Job Summary
Drive the integration of D-Wave's integrated QPU fabrication process from development to production, adapting R&D workflows to low-to-medium-volume manufacturing using SPC and in situ metrology. Operate metal deposition, electron-beam, and lithography tools in both D-Wave and Yale clean rooms while executing experiments to improve device quality and process fidelity. Coordinate with design and measurement teams to assess performance, present plans to executives, and mentor junior engineers. Assist in the design, construction, and qualification of the new D-Wave New Haven clean room facility over 2026–2027.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of (post-graduate) semiconductor or related industry experience
- MS or Ph.D in electrical engineering, materials science, or related field
- Proven track record of driving complex fabrication process development and integration, particularly small-to-medium-batch production
- Some hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repairing fabrication equipment
- Expertise in at least one of the following: Through-silicon vias, indium bump bonding/packaging, electron beam lithography
