Job Summary
Staff platform Support Engineer role focusing on end-to-end troubleshooting and optimization of Saviynt's SaaS identity platform. Responsibilities include deep-dive performance analysis of Java apps (Hibernate/Grails), monitoring and incident management across AWS/Azure Kubernetes deployments, on-call support, root-cause analysis, and collaboration with backend/dev teams to implement preventative measures. Candidates should be proficient with container orchestration (Kubernetes), ITSM workflows (FreshService), log and metrics tooling (ElasticSearch, Grafana), and scripting (Python, Bash). Requires 5+ years of IT/cloud operations experience, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and ability to operate in a 24/7 environment. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT/Cloud operations and application support (specifically Java apps)
- Strong experience with application support (Java, Grails, Hibernate) and performance analysis in a production environment
- Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, specifically Kubernetes
- Experience with ITSM (IT Service Management) systems, preferably FreshService, including incident, problem, and service request management processes
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus
- Experience working in a SaaS environment is highly desirable
- Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 operating model
