Job Summary
Staff-level connectivity architecture and automation leader responsible for end-to-end technical strategy and implementation. Own the delivery system for network and cloud connectivity, including golden image patterns, declarative configuration, validation routines, and operational handoff standards to enable scalable, repeatable deployments. Build and maintain the automation backbone (Python, Bash, Ansible-style tooling) and secure transit designs across on-prem, edge, and cloud, with Zero-Trust by default. Provide mentorship and technical leadership across senior and engineer-level teammates through design reviews, code reviews, and standards-setting. Expect ~60% deep technical contribution and ~40% planning and decomposing roadmap in a small dev+ops team within a regulated, mission-critical infrastructure environment.
Required Qualifications
- Strong networking fundamentals
- Automation mindset with production-quality tooling
- Experience with Python, Bash, or Ansible-style tooling
- Deep networking experience (Cisco-based environments or Linux-based networking)
- Production scripting and automation
- Experience designing secure connectivity patterns (VPNs, mTLS, Zero-Trust)
- CI/CD for infrastructure delivery, automated validation, rollback patterns
- Observability instrumentation for network/host state
- Mentoring and setting technical standards
