Job Summary
Design and own the architecture of the company's platform infrastructure end-to-end, building GraphQL gateways, API infrastructure, and shared platform services while managing Kubernetes environments across AWS and GCP. Develop production-grade backend services, automation tooling, and Infrastructure as Code using Pulumi to modernize legacy systems and establish engineering standards. Build observability, monitoring, and incident response systems while implementing security best practices covering zero-trust networking and compliance with HIPAA, LGPD, and ISO 27001. Champion AI-assisted engineering workflows across platform operations and mentor engineers through technical leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience designing and shipping large-scale production platform architectures
- Strong backend engineering background with deep systems design expertise
- Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments
- Strong practical experience with AWS and GCP
- Proven ownership of infrastructure from design through long-term production operation
- Experience modernizing and scaling legacy distributed systems
- Strong knowledge of observability, monitoring, reliability engineering, and incident response
- Experience working within regulated environments such as HIPAA, LGPD, SOC2, GDPR, or ISO 27001
- Strong coding skills with a passion for building production systems rather than managing projects
- AI-first mindset with practical experience using AI tools to improve engineering productivity
- Experience operating in fast-paced startups or high-growth technology companies
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments with a strong bias toward shipping
- Work Authorization: Required for Brazil
