Job Summary
Provide professional ophthalmic services in community-based settings (schools, health fairs, homeless shelters) and UCLA clinic locations, including vision screenings, exams, refractions for pediatric and adult patients, and assistance with ordering prescription eyeglasses. Serve as a clinical resource, collaborate with residents/fellows and teach students/volunteers, engage with patients and community partners, and travel across multiple outreach and clinical locations throughout Los Angeles and surrounding counties. Maintain a full-time schedule five days per week, participate in monthly departmental meetings, and support UCLA Health’s mission to expand access to vision care across the region.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board-eligible or board-certified in Ophthalmology
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited ophthalmology residency
- Active/Eligible California medical license
- Demonstrated interest in clinical outreach and community-based care
- Living in Los Angeles
