Job Summary
Staff Physician in infirmary at Eastern Correctional Institution, Westover, MD. Responsible for medical assessments and evaluations, treatment of emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues, and supervision of medical treatment for chronic conditions. Collaborates with the Site Medical Director and the Statewide Medical Director along with the Health Services Administrator to ensure efficient, clinically appropriate medical services within a correctional setting. Requires MD or DO, and active/unrestricted license; Board Certified/Eligible in FM/IM/EM Primary Care; DEA and CDS registrations; credentialing and background checks. Includes a $25K sign-on bonus and full-time benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
- Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one required
- Board Certified/Eligible in FM/IM/EM Primary Care required
- Current DEA and CDS registration
- Correctional Healthcare experience preferred not required
- Ability to pass credentialing and background check
