Job Summary
The Staff Physician (General Surgery) conducts comprehensive patient interviews and examinations, performs diagnostic tests, prescribes treatment, and ensures a continuity of care. This role includes performing major general surgical operations, providing emergency care, and managing outpatient clinic activities. The physician must coordinate referrals for specialized care, maintain accurate medical records, and collaborate with allied health professionals. Participation in hospital committees and performance improvement activities is essential. Candidates must be completion of an accredited medical training program and have an active medical license.
Required Qualifications
- Valid, unrestricted insurable drivers license
- Completion of an accredited Medical School Program
- Completion of an accredited five (5) year general surgery residency program
- Board Eligible or Certification by an approved American Specialty Board in Surgery
- Active unrestricted Medical License from any U.S. State or Territory
