Staff Physician (10668)

Provide medical direction and direct patient care in a physician office setting, including evaluating patients using standard subjective and objective data, developing treatment plans with medications and modalities, reinforcing education and self-management, and collaborating with other clinicians. Responsibilities include conducting home visits when necessary, guiding policies and services with the Advanced Practice Provider, reviewing records and providing consultation to the Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner, enabling telephone consultations for emergencies, participating in quality improvement projects, attending staff meetings, training and supervising students and clinical staff, and performing retrospective chart reviews. Requires independent clinical judgment, strong communication and interpersonal skills, working knowledge of diagnostic equipment (e.g., EKG), and ability to function effectively in a team-based environment. Education must include board eligibility or board certification in medicine and Vermont licensure; one year of physician office experience is preferred.
