Staff Physical Therapist-RPT/PT

Job Summary
Evaluate incoming patient conditions, consult with referring physicians regarding diagnosis, and develop individualized physical therapy treatment programs. Execute point-of-service documentation in the electronic medical records system, recording patient conditions, responses to treatments, and progress notes after each visit. Safely operate standard physical therapy equipment including ultrasound, e-stim, and TENS units while performing exercise instruction, manual therapy, gait training, and balance training. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and students by delegating daily treatment instructions, conducting interim evaluations, and educating them on procedures. Compose discharge notes and refer patients to appropriate outside sources as necessary. Maintain licensure through continuing education and current knowledge of industry trends. Operate a personal automobile during business hours with a company magnet.
Required Qualifications
- Current valid professional license
- Appropriate Certifications/Licenses required
- Degree: Bachelors Degree or higher
- Must be able to lift up to 220lbs
- Must be able to safely and legally operate personal automobile during business hours with attached company car magnet
- Must be able to safely operate and apply knowledge of standard physical therapy equipment such as ultrasound equipment, e-stim, TENS, etc
Desired Qualifications
- Prior work-related experience preferred
- Must be able to attend continuing educational courses to maintain good licensure standing and to obtain advanced clinical skills as per New Jersey State Licensure
- Must maintain current knowledge of Physical Therapist roles and continuing trends in the industry
