Job Summary
Provide pharmaceutical care to customers by processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders. Counsel patients on healthcare and medication needs while administering immunizations and other Walmart-developed programs. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations, including HIPAA and PHI guidelines. Model and provide guidance to pharmacy staff on proper customer service approaches. This role empowers pharmacists to work to the top of their license and advocate for patient wellbeing within an energetic environment equipped with necessary resources and technology.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD degree, or equivalent FPGE (NABP)
- Pharmacy license (by job entry date)
- Completion of an ACPE Accredited Immunization training program (for example, APhA, Pharmacy School Curriculum, State Pharmacy Association sponsored)
- Commitment to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines
