Staff Pharmacist

Job Summary
Dispense prescribed medications and drugs for patient care while reviewing physician prescriptions to assure accuracy and determine formulas. Direct pharmacy technicians engaged in mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals. Maintain established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs. Enter data such as patient name, prescribed medication, and cost. Assay medications to determine identity, purity, and strength. Instruct interns and other medical personnel on matters pertaining to pharmacy. All tasks must be completed in accordance with HIPAA guidelines, State and Federal laws, and current company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate Degree of Pharmacy
- Kentucky Pharmacist License
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years of pharmacist experience preferred but not required
- Management experience preferred
- Minimum of 1 year sterile and/or non-sterile compounding experience preferred
- Licensure in additional states is preferred, but not required
- Strong emotional maturity and intelligence
- Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
- Expert level of written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate proactive approaches to problem solving with strong decision-making capability
- Highly versatile and resourceful team player with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Be adaptable to various competing demands and demonstrate the highest level of customer service and response
- Demonstrate ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
