Job Summary
Staff Pharmacist — specialty clinic pharmacy with emphasis on specialty medication management, patient counseling, and adherence support. Responsibilities include ensuring safe and effective use of specialty therapies, education of patients and caregivers, monitoring for adverse effects and drug interactions, REMS program participation, prior authorization support and benefits verification, therapy initiation workflows, patient reviews and counseling, adherence monitoring, and contributing to quality improvement and clinical program development. Must perform duties as a licensed pharmacist with focus on specialty medications; includes respiratory fit testing as part of workplace safety.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Pharm.D. required
- RPH certification from the state of Texas required
- 2+ years of pharmacist experience preferred; specialty pharmacy or ambulatory clinic experience preferred
