Staff Pharmacist-Pharmacy-PT-1st shift

Coordinate, on a day-to-day basis, the provision of high quality, comprehensive pharmaceutical care to CMC patients in compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards. Manage multiple drug distribution functions including computerized order entry, prospective review of physician orders, and IV admixture preparation. Lead clinical activities to optimize therapeutic outcomes under Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee directives by communicating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to clarify or change orders and document intervention results. Conduct educational activities with colleagues to maintain clinical competency regarding drug therapy. Provide supervisory oversight and direction of technicians' drug preparation and distribution activities to ensure safe and expedient pharmaceutical care. Requires Pharm.D or Bachelors of Science, one year hospital experience preferred, and Alabama pharmacist licensure eligibility.
