Job Summary
Staff Pharmacist contributes to therapeutic decision-making by participating in patient care, pharmaceutical care, providing drug information, formal and informal presentations and consultations on medication use in the hospital. He/she assures the accurate and efficient distribution of drugs and oversees the usage of pharmaceuticals within the facility. He/she also promotes rational, cost-effective use of drugs within the facility while assuring the quality of pharmaceutical care and optimal clinical outcomes. The staff pharmacist provides authoritative drug information to other health care professionals, patients and the public.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Pharmacist
- California licensure required at hire
- Pharm.D. degree preferred or completion of ASHP-accredited residency (preferred)
