Job Summary
Lead and manage the pharmacy team to ensure safe, efficient medication dispensing and full regulatory compliance. Perform patient outreach to close gaps in therapy, conduct regular audits, and report adverse drug reactions. Oversee clinical staff training, mentor students, and collaborate with medical and nursing teams to coordinate care. Monitor inventory, manage compliance with accreditation standards, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Serve as a liaison between departments to optimize medication therapy outcomes for patients with serious behavioral health conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in pharmacy or related degree
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution
- Active pharmacist license in good standing in practicing state
- Strong knowledge of pharmacotherapy, medication safety, and healthcare regulations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
- Ability to participate in the Pharmacist Injection/Vaccination Program
Desired Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution preferred
- Board certification in a relevant pharmacy specialty (e.g., BCPS, BCACP) preferred
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives and clinical research preferred
