Staff Pharmacist - Part-time - Closed Door Pharmacy

Job Summary
Review orders for accuracy and clinical appropriateness, verify prepared DURs, and complete quality assurance checks on all orders filled by fulfillment staff prior to dispensing. Assist in the daily activities of the pharmacy, including the development, oversight, and monitoring of services to support policies and goals established by the Pharmacy Manager. Communicate recommendations to clients regarding DURs and maintain positive client relationships by answering pharmacist-related calls and questions. Perform other special projects and duties as assigned by management while adhering to regulatory compliance and maintaining confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Eligible to work for any U.S. Employer and not require sponsorship
- License to practice pharmacy in the state of the position
- Must also be willing to obtain licensure for multiple states as needed
- 1 - 3 years of Pharmacist experience
- Ability to think critically and perform tasks efficiently with accuracy
- Strong attention to detail; ability to organize and prioritize to maintain productivity
- Possess the ability and initiative to plan for and complete daily activities with minimal direction
- Comfortable learning new software and technology
- Must be able to pass a background check and additional pre-hire requirements
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and communicate effectively with clients, employees, and vendors
- Understand, promote, and comply with rules and regulations governing patient rights
- Keeps abreast of current state, federal and company policies, procedures, and regulations
- Adhere to regulatory and company compliance, including OSHA, DEA, State Board of Pharmacy, and Clinical Solutions Code of Conduct, Business Ethics, Policies and Procedures
- Advise pharmacy staff on changes to any known regulatory changes/updates
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills
- Must have strong organizational and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office or other Windows based software programs
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and company proprietary information
- Proficient in clinical interpretation: drug-drug, drug-disease, drug-food interactions, and allergies
- Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, reach, walk and stand
- Must be able to stand for extended periods throughout the workday
- Occasional physical effort with light to medium objects
- Occasionally required to lift objects 10-25 pounds
- Able to reach, carry, finger, grasp and feel objects related to duties
- Finger dexterity to operate office equipment is required
- Must be available for rotating weekends and holidays
- Sunday's have a flexible start time, but must provide 6-hours of coverage
