Job Summary
Compound and dispense medications prescribed by physicians, dentists, and other authorized healthcare providers while reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, and drug interactions. Advise customers on proper medication use, including dosage instructions, potential side effects, and interactions, while assisting with durable medical equipment and home healthcare supplies. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and controlled substances, ensuring compliance with pharmacy laws, Board of Pharmacy regulations, and company operational standards. Keep pharmacy areas organized, clean, and compliant with sanitation and safety requirements, supporting inventory management of prescription medications and pharmacy supplies. Follow all company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines outlined in the Primary Policy Manual, maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information and company operations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a licensed pharmacist in good standing with the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
- Must possess a Bachelor's Degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited college of pharmacy
- Must have completed required internship experience and successfully passed the applicable state board examinations
- Must maintain all Continuing Education (CE) requirements required for licensure in the state(s) where practicing
- Proof of continuing education must be provided to the Support Office and maintained in the employee's personnel file
- Employment in pharmacy positions is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment background check
