Job Summary
Staff Pharmacist responsible for supervising the pharmacy team, delivering safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, counseling, and immunizations, and supporting patient care across CVS Health retail locations. The role includes taking direction from the Pharmacy Manager, acting as the manager’s proxy during shifts, coaching team members to follow safety guardrails and inventory best practices (with emphasis on cold chain), resolving insurance and medication issues, coordinating immunization services (where permissible), ensuring regulatory compliance with state Boards of Pharmacy and CVS policies, maintaining clinical and technical skills, and contributing to a safe, inclusive team environment. Requires an active Pharmacist license, an NPI, and availability for a full-time schedule including nights and weekends; preferred readiness to work across locations as needed and to participate in trainings and CME opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
- Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
