Job Summary
Staff Officer PRN responsible for monitoring interior and exterior security through patrol, observation and CCTV use; greet patients, guests and staff; assign security badges; respond to calls for assistance; coordinate with local authorities; secure egress to hospital facilities; complete logs and incident reports; provide directions, escorts, access control, vehicle assistance, and support to healthcare providers as needed; maintain security presence, stay alert, communicate with dispatch and supervisors, participate in training/drills, and follow security policies; operate security equipment, report issues, and ensure safety across campus including lobby desk, patrols, driveway monitoring, and incident management; required qualifications include a high school graduate, minimum two years security experience, OPOTA/OPOTC certification or equivalent, valid Ohio driver’s license, CCTV/alarm monitoring experience, and strong verbal/written communication and physical capability.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of two years security experience
- OPOTA/OPOTC certification or equivalent and/or previous hospital experience preferred
- Valid Driver’s License in the State of Ohio
- Experience with CCTV operations and alarm monitoring desired
- Effective verbal and written communication/customer service skills
- Physically capable of performing all required duties, including long periods of standing and walking and physical confrontations with combative persons
