Staff Occupational Therapist

The Staff Occupational Therapist provides direct patient care in the Rehabilitation Department under the Maine Occupational Practice Act, collaborates with physicians and department staff, participates in department operations and committees, assesses and plans patient care, maintains an active care schedule, documents treatment, and pursues ongoing professional development and continuing education while adhering to hospital policies and code of conduct. Responsibilities include evaluating equipment and supplies, contributing to purchases when appropriate, ensuring safe, efficient patient care, and promoting a team-based, compliant, and growth-minded patient rehabilitation service. The role requires effective communication, professional appearance, timely task completion, and dependable attendance within the hospital’s rehabilitation team.
