Job Summary
Provide, prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care with other health care providers to meet holistic care needs of a designated group of patients. Environment may be long term, emergent, critical, acute, interventional, or procedural driven. Shift: Third Shift Nights. Opportunities include full-time, part-time, and casual positions in patient care, nursing, and other healthcare roles. Education support offered (tuition assistance up to $5,000/year, Clarkson College discount). Nebraska Medicine is an equal opportunity employer. Eligible to practice as an RN in Nebraska or a compact state; BLS required; PALS, ACLS, TNCC/ATCN requirements vary by department. Preferred qualifications include BSN/MSN and various specialty experiences. The role is within an academic health network with collaboration with UNMC and multiple care settings across Nebraska Medicine facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required
- Current RN license in Nebraska or a compact state license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an AHA-endorsed program (effective for new hires starting Jan 1, 2023 or later)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification dependent on department
- ACLS certification dependent on department within 6 months of hire/transfer
- TNCC OR ATCN within 1 year of hire/transfer (department dependent)
- Experience in direct patient care preferred for some positions
- BSN or MSN preferred for some positions
