Staff Nurse Weekender - PACU

Registered nurse renders highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients in the PACU. Uses the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation), directly or indirectly caring for patients, and directing/supervising other team members as needed. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with unit standards of care. Responsibilities include clear communication, relationship-building for collaborative care, accountability for performance, continuous improvement of patient experience, and initiative for professional growth. Requires graduating from an accredited nursing program with current Texas RN licensure or eligibility, current CPR/BLS, and at least 6 months of RN experience; BSN preferred. “Your Job” and “Job Requirements/Responsibilities” sections emphasize patient-centered care, teamwork, and adherence to hospital standards.
