Staff Nurse

Staff Nurse delivering patient care in a hospice/palliative setting. Conducts nursing assessments, develops, implements, evaluates, and updates the plan of care to ensure uninterrupted care and achievement of goals. Facilitates patient and caregiver independence; follows patient-related protocols and guidelines; provides education to patients and families; communicates effectively with an IDG and other health professionals to ensure continuity of care; maintains infection control practices and universal precautions. Maintains accurate clinical documentation, adheres to licensure standards, and pursues ongoing professional development and licensure requirements. Requires strong time management, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the ability to coordinate care for patients with life-limiting illnesses. Prior hospice/palliative care experience preferred; CHPN encouraged.
