Job Summary
Provide basic nursing care including wound dressing, injections, and vital signs monitoring while assisting in administering prescribed medications and treatments. Monitor patient conditions, report changes to supervising professionals, and support minor clinical procedures and health assessments. Educate patients on medication adherence, lifestyle modifications, and preventive healthcare, specifically guiding management of chronic conditions like hypertension and diabetes. Maintain accurate patient records, assist in triaging and managing patient flow, and ensure proper use and maintenance of medical equipment. Adhere strictly to infection prevention protocols, maintain clinical environment hygiene, and ensure proper disposal of medical waste and sharps.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) / Registered Midwife (RM) or equivalent qualification
- Valid practicing license with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria
- 2 – 4 years' clinical experience in a hospital, clinic, or community healthcare setting
- Strong clinical and patient care skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle shift duties
