Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care under medical supervision, including comprehensive assessments, medication administration, and urgent intervention for psychiatric symptoms and safety concerns. Monitor patients for medication effectiveness, de-escalate crises, and accurately transcribe provider orders while maintaining timely documentation in the electronic medical record. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient stabilization, recovery, and regulatory compliance within Joint Commission–accredited programs. Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience
- Experience in substance use disorder treatment
- Experience with co-occurring mental health disorders in an inpatient setting
- Working knowledge of nursing standards of care for patients with mental health conditions
- Working knowledge of nursing standards of care for substance use disorders
- Working knowledge of nursing standards of care for co-occurring diagnoses
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Strong documentation skills

- Strong communication skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism
- Ability to maintain objectivity
- Ability to maintain composure in high-stress or emergency situations
- Demonstrated understanding of patient confidentiality

Desired Qualifications
- Experience in substance use disorder treatment and co-occurring mental health disorders in an inpatient setting strongly preferred
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
