Job Summary
Staff Nurse position in a Skilled Nursing Facility in Wilmington, NC. Responsibilities include collecting data on residents' physical and mental health, delivering and recording nursing care (medications, treatments, and functions per individualized plans), supervising non-licensed personnel, ensuring continuity of care through documentation, updating care plans, responding to resident needs, maintaining a safe environment, and participating in Quality of Care/Quality Improvement activities. Requires NC nursing licensure (LPN or RN) and a nursing education program; prior geriatric nursing experience preferred. 12-hour shifts (7a-7p/7p-7a) with shift differential and benefits after 30 days. influenza vaccination and TB testing required unless accommodations are granted.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent with graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Licensure/Certification: Current North Carolina licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
- Experience: Some previous geriatric nursing experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
