Job Summary
Staff Nurse (RN/LPN) role on the 3rd shift involves supervising a group of residents/patients for a shift, assessing, implementing, and evaluating the care plan, adhering to standards of care, maintaining resident safety, and supervising nursing assistants. Must be licensed as RN or LPN with CPR certification; responsibilities include using medical equipment, calculating drug dosages, following Nurse Practice Act and JCAHO standards, and collaborating with healthcare team. The position offers full-time or part-time hours with shift-specific pay rates and benefits including health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and life/disability coverage at North Shore Healthcare in Florence, WI.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in the State as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Must have and maintain current CPR certification
- Able to use necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
- Able to calculate drug dosage
- Meets all health requirements imposed by law
- Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other center staff
- Able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Demonstrated basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- Previous post-acute care experience preferred
