Job Summary
Assess, implement, and evaluate the plan of care for a group of residents or patients under the supervision of the Unit Manager. Manage the care environment to maintain safety while supervising nursing assistants and helpers. Adhere to North Shore's policies, standards of care, the State Nurse Practice Act, and JCAHO standards. Perform duties defined by the State Nurse Practice Act, including drug dosage calculations and use of necessary equipment. Maintain current CPR certification and demonstrate the ability to relate positively with residents, families, and staff. Full-time 3rd shift employment with wages up to $48.50/hr.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in the State as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Must have and maintain current CPR certification
- Able to use necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
- Able to calculate drug dosage
- Meets all health requirements imposed by law
- Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other center staff
- Able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Demonstrated basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Previous post-acute care experience preferred
