Job Summary
Assess, implement, and evaluate the plan of care for a group of residents or patients under the supervision of the Unit Manager, ADON, or DON. Manage the care environment to maintain safety and supervise nursing assistants and helpers. Adhere to North Shore's policies, the State Nurse Practice Act, and JCAHO standards while calculating drug dosages and using necessary equipment. Maintain CPR certification and demonstrate effective communication with residents, families, and staff. Requires current RN or LPN licensure, English proficiency, and basic computer skills. Full-time 3rd shift with wages up to $48.50/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in the State as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Must have and maintain current CPR certification
- Able to use necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
- Able to calculate drug dosage
- Meets all health requirements imposed by law
- Able to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other center staff
- Able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Demonstrated basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Previous post-acute care experience preferred
