Job Summary
Staff Nurse position (RN/LPN) overseeing medication self-administration, refills, infection control, and lab coordination in a 24/7 residential behavioral health setting. Responsibilities include auditing MAR and narcotic counts, coordinating with pharmacists and PCPs, performing initial health screenings and nursing assessments, implementing changes in psychiatric medication with the Medical Director, ensuring regulatory compliance and survey readiness for licensing and Joint Commission accreditation, and participating in quality improvement activities. Requires proficiency with EHR/eMAR, strong organizational and communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced residential environment. Shift coverage includes weekend hours.
Required Qualifications
- Valid, unrestricted RN or LPN license in the state of practice
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum three (3) years nursing experience, preferably in behavioral health or residential setting
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Medication Administration Records (eMAR)
- Strong organizational and communication skills for multidisciplinary team
- Ability to work in a 24/7 residential environment
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Ability to assist in medical emergency
- Weekend shifts schedule: Saturday-Sunday 7:00am-3:30pm, 3:00pm-11:30pm, or 11:00pm-7:00am
