Job Summary
Staff Nurse (RN) in Cardiac Cath and Interventional Radiology (.8 FTE) provides patient-centered care in an acute-care setting, communicates critical information across care teams, assesses and plans nursing care for patients undergoing invasive cardiovascular procedures, maintains accurate real-time documentation, and participates in on-call coverage. Requires leadership of licensed and non-licensed staff, effective communication with patients and families, adherence to safety policies, sterile technique, and the ability to titrate IV medications with monitoring of cardiac rhythms in a specialized cath lab environment. Licensure as an Iowa (or compact) RN and BLS certification are required, with mandatory reporter training completed prior to start. The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes in a Cedar Rapids hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Iowa or compact state required
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) as per American Heart Association
- Iowa Dependent Adult Abuse/Iowa Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter training
