Job Summary
Provide high-quality, safe nursing care in accordance with NMBI standards while assessing, planning, and reviewing individualised care plans for residents. Administer medications safely, monitor clinical conditions, and lead care staff during shifts to promote resident independence and dignity. Communicate effectively with families, GPs, and the multidisciplinary team while maintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring HIQA compliance. This role supports a Nursing Home in Galway focused on social, physical, and mental stimulation for residents.
Required Qualifications
- EU/EEA citizenship or existing, unrestricted right to work in Ireland
- Registered General Nurse qualification
- Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Strong clinical knowledge with a clear commitment to person-centred care
- Previous experience in elderly care
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
- Fluent written and spoken English
