Job Summary
Deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred nursing care by assessing residents' needs, developing individualised care plans, and administering medications accurately. Monitor clinical changes, document records, and provide leadership to care staff while promoting resident independence and dignity. Communicate effectively with families and the multidisciplinary team to ensure compliance with regulations and best practice standards. This role requires EU/EEA citizenship or unrestricted right to work in Ireland, NMBI registration, and Garda clearance, with a focus on improving quality of life for elderly residents at a leading facility in Co Waterford.
Required Qualifications
- Hold a Registered General Nurse qualification
- Previous experience in care of the elderly
- Must be an EU/EEA citizenship or have an existing, unrestricted right to work in Ireland
- Maintain active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Demonstrate strong clinical knowledge with a clear commitment to person-centred care
- Possess excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills
- Be fluent in spoken and written English
- Have satisfactory Garda clearance and appropriate professional references
