Staff Nurse- Primary Care

Job Summary
The Staff Nurse in Primary Care is responsible for direct patient care including reviewing and modifying treatment plans, triaging patients, and providing education about chronic conditions and medications. This role also entails managing Coumadin and performing diagnostic tests. The nurse will monitor patient conditions and document information in the EHR. Additionally, they will assess high-risk patients for referrals and facilitate care coordination with team members. Candidates should have a BSN degree (preferred), possess at least two years of acute nursing experience, and hold current nursing licensure in Michigan.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with current licensure to practice in the State of Michigan
- Basic Life Support certification
- Minimum of two years’ experience in acute medical/surgical nursing
- Evidence of excellent clinical skills
- Strong communication skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
