Staff Nurse - Operating Room

Support anesthesia, maintain patent patient airways for adult and pediatric patients, and administer drugs while responding to drug-related complications. Assess patient learning needs, care for specimens and cultures, and integrate cost-effective measures into nursing care. Maintain proficiency in surgeons' needs and techniques in both scrub and circulating roles, utilizing sound nursing judgement for independent clinical decisions and emergency situations. Provide direct care to patients from infancy to the elderly while ensuring accurate, timely documentation and effective communication with the health care team. This per diem role at the Wills Eye Surgery Center in Plymouth Meeting requires a Bachelor's Degree of Nursing, an active PA State Nursing License, and BLS certification.
