Staff Nurse - Operating Room - 1.0 FTE - LHAAMC

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate perioperative patient care throughout the surgical experience, including comprehensive preoperative assessments and intraoperative monitoring of vital signs and sedation levels. Administer medications, manage pain, and ensure aseptic technique while supervising Operating Room Technicians and delegating tasks appropriately. Prepare and position patients safely, maintain accurate sponge and needle counts, and provide thorough handoff reports to PACU staff. Mentor new staff members, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and support evidence-based practice by updating surgeon preference cards. Assist anesthesia personnel with supply readiness and support patient transport, room turnover, and post-procedure recovery. Work primarily on the day shift with rotating on-call responsibilities including nights, weekends, and holidays.
