Job Summary
Ensure all care delivered is within scope and established standards while collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to meet clinical needs and monitor outcomes. Practice in a primary nursing model with RN oversight, maintaining accountability for assigned patients and documenting care in electronic medical records. Initiate necessary reports, delegate clinical care to nursing assistants, and model professional behavior. Participate in shared governance, quality data collection, and performance improvement projects. May assume charge nurse responsibilities including shift reports, assigning staff, auditing admissions/discharges, attending rounds, and developing care assignments. Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and HIPAA regulations.
Required Qualifications
- A graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Current Massachusetts license as an RN/LPN in good standing
- Understand the philosophy and support the model of care at HRC
- Must be a professional, proactive, collaborative, conscientious, and results-oriented individual
- Must have an optimistic and positive demeanor
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good intuition
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
