Job Summary

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle while maintaining organizational standards of practice. Coordinate patient care activities for all assigned staff to ensure quality delivery. Maintain current Georgia RN licensure and BCLS certification, with ACLS required within 180 days for ICU specialty. This role supports exceptional patient outcomes within Piedmont's diverse teams, offering schedule flexibility and comprehensive wellness programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate from a nursing program
  • No experience required
  • New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
  • Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support
  • ACLS Certification
  • CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
  • ACLS and PALS Certification
  • Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
  • PALS Certification
  • PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU ACLS
  • PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients
  • BLS
  • Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
  • NRP by the end of orientation period
  • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
  • NAT (Newborn Admission Team)
  • Nursery- NRP

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
  • Advanced certification in field of specialty
  • ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date) within 180 Days
  • PALS Certification - required at Piedmont Columbus Hospital
  • PALS Certification - required at Piedmont Athens Hospital
  • CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate) preferred
  • ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date) within 180 Days
  • Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification prior to independent chemotherapy administration
  • Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date)
  • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date
  • Mother/Baby- NRP by the end of orientation period
  • NICU- NRP by the end of orientation period
  • NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP by the end of orientation period
  • Nursery- NRP by the end of orientation period
