Staff Nurse II, Med-Surg Neurology

Registered Nurse (Staff Nurse II) in the Med-Surg Neurology unit provides comprehensive patient-family centered care under the supervision of the Nurse Manager/Director. The role requires utilization of the nursing process, adherence to ANA Code of Ethics and Patients' Bill of Rights, and collaboration with the care team to address health problems. Requires RN licensure in the care location, BLS, ACLS, and a minimum of 2 years of neurology experience; preferred Bachelor’s degree. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementing interventions, protecting patient PHI, effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team, and prioritizing tasks within standardized policies. Schedule is varied with per diem/casual status; includes weekend requirements and potential shift variations. Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office) and strong organizational skills are also noted.
