Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care for Mother/Baby units according to departmental policies and the Nurse Practice Act. Collaborate with physicians, families, and the health care team to develop and coordinate care plans, including discharge planning and patient/family teaching. Provide, delegate, and monitor physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual care while documenting assessments and updating responses to the plan of care. Act as a preceptor and charge nurse as assigned, participate in performance improvement activities, and ensure compliance with safety policies. Requires current California RN license, BLS certification, and at least 12 months of acute care experience. Night shift differential applies.
Required Qualifications
- Associates of Science in nursing (ASN)
- BSN preferred
- Current California RN license
- Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association standards
- Twelve (12) or more months of service as a registered nurse in an acute care setting
- Successful completion of a Pharmacology and EKG Test
- Night Shift
