Job Summary
Assess, coordinate, and deliver nursing care for acute patients in the PACU or ICU setting, including direct patient care, family education, and transitions of care. Develop and implement individualized plans of care that incorporate psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors. Foster collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare providers through timely communication while adhering to hospital policies, industry standards, and applicable laws. Prioritize assignments and work within standardized procedures to meet time-sensitive objectives, ensuring patient privacy and utilizing critical thinking to solve complex problems in a stressful environment. Requires RN licensure, ACLS certification, and two years of recent relevant experience with six months of prior PACU, ED, or ICU bedside experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- RN license evidences completion of a RN program
- RN-Registered Nurse for the state where care is provided
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- 2 years of recent relevant experience
- 2 years RN with at least six months of prior bedside experience in PACU, ED, or ICU in a multiple specialty acute care facility within the last two years
- Demonstrated general knowledge and competence with regard to nursing theories, concepts and practices

- Written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people

- Ability to prioritize patient care, assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and practices to achieve objectives and meet time sensitive activities
- Basic knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Outlook)
- Ability to work independently

- Ability to accomplish multiple interventions in an ever-changing environment
- Ability to communicate and engage team members, patients and families in a variety of stressful situations
- Use existing procedures and critical thinking to identify and solve routine or complex problems
